a fic and art exchange celebrating the pairing of oikage
what is an exchange?
think "secret santa" — you submit prompts and someone will create a gift based off your prompts. meanwhile, you will be assigned someone else's prompts and create a gift for them! this event has low minimum requirements and a short creation period compared to a typical gift exchange in this fandom, to try to keep things cozy and relaxed.
minimum requirements for artists: flat colors OR monochrome shading (traditional art is okay, must be on unlined paper, backgrounds are optional).
minimum requirements for writers: 1000 words, must be a standalone, complete work.
participants will be able to specify tags and prompts they wish to receive, as well as Do Not Wants.
the ao3 system will then match creators based on tag preferences.
participants will have one (1) month to create and submit their gift.
gifts are posted anonymously.
then all creators are revealed!
you will need an ao3 account to participate. you can request ao3 invites here or reach out to the mods for assistance.
how to sign up?
go to our exchange ao3 collection and review our rules.
when you're ready to sign up, click sign-up form on the collection menu - or you can just click here
fill out and submit the request and offer form according to the instructions.
you MUST list 5 specific prompts and at least 1 DNW in your request.
next, go to this google form, fill it out, and submit.
you're done! you can edit your request/offer until signups close.

by signing up, you are agreeing to create a gift for your assigned recipient that meets the minimum requirements.sign-up rules:

creation rules:
this is an oikage event, so all works should be centered around this pairing. sideships can be included, based on your giftee's preferences.

the timezone all deadlines will be in is EST but there will be a timezone conversion in the discord server for convenience.
participants must be 18+ to take part in the exchange.
all gifts should be in english.
all gifts must meet the following requirements: fics - 1k words minimum, a complete standalone work; art - flat colors or monochrome shading, traditional art ok (must be on unlined paper), backgrounds optional.
you must respect your giftee's DNWs (do not wants).
if you decide to drop out, please contact a mod immediately so that we can reassign a gifter.
creators must remain anonymous until the reveal date! (but please feel free to share that you're participating in the exchange.) that means do not publicly share your works in progress, and do not reach out to your giftee. to maintain anonymity, if you have a question for your giftee about their preferences or prompts, reach out to the mods. we will ask on your behalf.
